Initially bought this for a long car ride but still use it all the time. My toddler loves “making sandwiches” and “doing laundry” - enough said. Beautiful quality and great for fine motor skills and more. Definitely worth the price.My nephew is 2 years old. He loves to play with this book.These are pricey but very well-made. I bought both this one and “When I grow up” at the same time, but they come with a 15% off coupon for a future purchase so I wish I had waited to buy the second one.While the recommended age is 3+, I bought this for my 15-month-old, thinking he would grow into it and could at least do the Velcro things for now. He loves these and begs to get them down whenever he notices them, but he is definitely a bit too young. The Velcro is quite strong and the pockets are tight (both good things in a product like this so pieces don’t get lost!) so you tend to need two hands and he just doesn’t have the dexterity for it yet. That said, he loves to try, and he points to things and has me do them for him. He’s already getting better at several of the skills needed, so it’s good fine-motor practice (although I’m honestly surprised he doesn’t get more frustrated by it.) So, it’s not the solo entertainment I had hoped quite yet, but he loves them and I believe will continue to love them. I also have to check the whole book every time I put it away to make sure the pieces made it back to their spots, which is a little cumbersome for now. A note on the pieces and little ones - if you have a little who constantly puts things in his/her mouth, consider waiting. Mine listens well and hasn’t had the urge to put these anywhere near his mouth (probably because the parts that come out are just felt so nothing to gum) but it could certainly be a choking hazard if you’ve got a little gummer. I also have a particularly attentive little, but a more age-appropriate busy book for his age would probably have more to do on each page.We bought these for a flight because every toy we use on long car trips makes noise and we didn’t want to be murdered by our seat mates, and I think they will be great for that... as long as we can keep track of the pieces. We’ve already used them on a three-hour car trip that turned into a seven-hour car trip (thanks, blizzard) and they definitely saved us from meltdown territory. We did temporarily lose a piece that went over the side of the car seat. Since there is Velcro on the back of a lot of pieces, they’ll find creative spots to stick themselves in a car interior. :-|Got this as a gift for my 4 year old niece, she loves it ! Her mother who is a teacher was so impressed by the learning activities in the book.This book was WELL worth the money!! My 4.5 year old was so excited to get it after watching the advertisement video. I bought it specifically for a cross-country flight and he played with this thing for an hour the first time he opened it! And then played with it again and again throughout the flight for 20-40 minutes at a time. And he kept asking to play with it throughout our trip anytime we were in a car traveling or in the hotel room. If your child likes taking things a part and putting them back together, this book is perfect for them! I’m so glad I decided to “invest” in this book and will definitely keep it around for my 2nd son to enjoy it when he’s old enough.It was a great book for the airplane for my 4 year old. I felt it was not worth the price though.It is OKAY, but the other Grey one is 10x more fun and engaging.. this one is just too simple and easy to figure out with the kids getting bored of it after one time of use. The OTHER one is called “when I grow up” it’s much better, and I highly recommend you get that one instead of this one.. it’s made by the same people just a different more engaging type of book. However, this book is so cute and these books make excellent gifts for baby shower or children.. they’re beautiful.. but if you want a more engaging type of book choose the grey.We bought this to give my toddler something to keep her busy when we are traveling or out at restaurants. Typically she will ask for my phone to watch some of her baby shows but I wanted to give her something educational to limit her screen time a bit. She absolutely LOVES this book. When she sees it in the diaper bag she gets very excited and asks for it until I give it to her. She loves buckling the dogs collar and pretending to eat the food from the fridge. It really keeps her quiet and she usually never stops talking. She becomes so focused and into the activities in this book that we almost forget we are out with a toddler. I highly recommend this product.My daughter really enjoys it and she's just 14 months. There are many things you can teach them and even at each page you can show them different things depending their age they are at. For example the first page has a clock; at the moment I'm just teaching her the sound a clock makes but in a year time I could reach her the time and in a couple years time I could ask her to set the clock to a specific time.For £26 I’m really very disappointed. I wish I bought one of the similar books for £12.The flowers are hard to unbutton even for an adult, the tooth brush is very flimsy even before it’s been played with. I am considering returning this.This is a really great book - ive given it to two busy toddlers who were both fascinated! It’s so well made, with eye catching colours and a range of sensory experiences for children. To top it off the customer service from the Curious Columbus team is excellent!Bought for my 2 year old for Christmas and it really occupies him when I'm trying to sort out baby. The attention to detail is superb. All the pieces are beautifully stitched together and the colours are really attractive. I love the story it conveys from the start of the day when you get up, brush your teeth, then get dressed, eat , do chores etc. Would thoroughly recommend and I thought for the excellent quality it was worth the money.
